Moving to a new house is wonderful and exciting until you consider the amount of things you have. Moving from one house to another can be difficult and stressful. It is easy to feel stressed when packing your things.

Utilize The Right Size Boxes:
Put heavy objects such as books in small boxes and put lightweight objects such as pillows in bigger boxes. Packing large boxes with heavy objects increases the chance of the box breaking.
Pack The Things You Will Need Immediately First:
These items include eating utensils, toilet paper, pots and pans, paper towels, trash bags, etc. This box should be placed in your cat the day of moving so that it is easily accessible when you need it.
Label Your Boxes:
Clearly label all boxes with what is inside and the room that the box will go to. Remember when labeling your boxes to also label the sides. This way, you can find the box that you need even if it is stacked. The movers will know exactly where a box needs to go and you can unpack by room.
Wrap Breakable Items:
Wrap breakable items individually with packing paper. Remember to put the heaviest items in the bottom of the box and lighter items on top. Make sure to clearly label the outs of the box “fragile” with a bright marker and draw an arrow to identify which side of the box should face up.
Fill Out Change of Address Form:
Six to eight weeks before your move fill out the USPS change of address form to make sure you receive your mail when you move.
Safeguard Your Valuables:
Check your homeowner’s insurance to see if you are covered during a move or if you need insurance from the mover. Find out what kind of paperwork is needed to file a claim in case of a loss.
